Our Story

Since 1992 International Sports Images, Inc had been at the forefront of Soccer in the United States, covering 8 Men’s Fifa World Cups, 7 Fifa Women’s World Cups and 7 Olympics. The archive holds over 500,000 soccer images and chronicles the growth of soccer in the United States during the modern era, starting with the 1994 World Cup, the very first MLS game in San Jose, the WUSA, The WPS, and the NWSL.

Started by J.Brett Whitesell in 1992, ISI has operated as an independent quality oriented photo agency. Bought by John Todd and Annette Shelby in 2004, ISI entered the digital age with the first ever soccer specific online image database, providing clients with easy access to the archive.

Acting as the team photographer to the US Soccer Federation, our photographers are focused on the National Teams and provide in depth coverage for the USA. Our focus continues to be soccer centric and our passion for covering the sport is unparalleled.

In addition to U.S. Soccer, ISI also provides team photographer duties to Stanford Athletics, the San Jose Earthquakes and has covered over 20 NCAA Bowl games, and numerous NCAA Championships.

Our core values are to provide clients with the highest quality service and best in class imagery on a personal level.
